When does the season start/stop?Each year is different because of the weather, but normally between the middle of March and early April. We wrap up the mowing season around mid to late October. At this point in the season we will stop mowing and start fall cleanups and leaf removal jobs for customers who want to prepare their homes for the winter.

This means if your bermuda lawn is treated, you will not need more than 1-2 cuts in the first couple months of mowing, until the bermuda starts to green up. Non-treated yards will need weekly service starting the year off for fast growing weeds and types of turf. We will let you know our “target” day for the service of your property. And if rain is in the forecast, our schedule gets pushed back, and we work very hard to get your property serviced as close to the “target” day as possible.

Do you bag grass clippings?We DO NOT bag grass clippings on any lawn maintenance visits. We mulch up all grass and it will redistribute the clippings throughout the lawn for extra nutrients and microorganisms. DISCLAIMER** In the early spring, we do offer scalping of bermuda yards which includes bagging the extra grass in preparation for the spring growth.

(Fay-Ark Lawn Company is not responsible for damage to any man made object left in the lawn prior to mowing service.) Also, please leave all gates unlocked for our team to service the full property. DISCLAIMER** If the gate is locked during time of service, there will be an extra charge to come back to the property and mow the backyard.

Where do you get your materials?We have hardwood mulch delivered to our shop from Hansen’s Tree Service in Branson. Our plants are supplied by a handful of local wholesale nurseries. All other materials are purchased from our local landscape supply shop. Long story short, we provide the highest quality materials for all projects.

Do you have a warranty on any living materials?We do not offer a warranty on any plants, trees, sod, seed,etc. If any living material is not in viable living conditions upon arrival, we will replace it with a thriving material. DISCLAIMER** Each situation is different, and we will take care of our customers to the best of our ability. Our team will water all plants and trees after installation. We will send post installation watering instructions.

Can you explain the design & build process?- The first step is a phone call with our President, Eric. During this phone call you will discuss what you want included in your job, and an estimated ballpark number. - Once this is approved, we will schedule an on site consultation. This consultation is to figure out what the customer wants in their design, along with information about how the job is managed and performed. We also explain some potential issues and problems that could happen during the build process, and how to solve these issues before they happen. - We will discuss types of materials, plants, etc; that will be used in the project during this time. We will design a birds eye view of the project, and change and tweak until you love it. Once the design is approved, you will put a deposit down on the project. - Our team will clearly communicate timelines and dates for your project. - When the project is complete, Eric or the lead foreman will come back out and do a final walkthrough ensuring you love your entire outdoor space. At this time we will also collect the final payment. The most important part of this is we will present a maintenance plan along with a watering plan (if applicable).

What does a flower bed cleanup include?It includes pulling and spraying weeds in the flowerbeds, trimming and pruning all plants in flower beds (depending on what time of year it is for proper plant health), cleaning up and disposing of all debris removed from property, and installing hardwood mulch in all planting beds and tree rings.

How many inches of mulch are installed?Our goal is to install between 1"-2" of fresh mulch during our cleanups. If you go too deep with the mulch it can damage the plant material, and if it's too thin it won't provide enough protection. 1"-2" is generally accepted as standard for our area.

Do you trim the shrubs and bushes?Yes, we trim all shrubs and plants less than 8’ tall. Please not certain plants should not be trimmed prior to bloom and the crew will determine on site if any are to be skipped.
